Aetiket Label Printer - Editing Print Layouts
|
|||||
The Print Layouts in Aetiket Label Printer can now be edited. The two main advantages of being able to edit the layouts are: the default font can be set by the user, and the printing output can be optimized for specific printers. These features are only available to registered users running Aetiket Label Printer with FileMaker Pro: the runtime version doesn't provide this functionality. The default font for all the layouts is set to Helvetica, in various point sizes depending on the label. Helvetica is supported directly by most ink jet and postscript laser printers and results in faster printing times on some printers. Helvetica is a sans-serif font and is relatively easy to read by machines processing mail in mail sorting departments. There are cases when one might wish to use "Letraset Papyrus" or some other designer font as the default, however, and this section discusses how to do so. If you only need to change the font used for a small number of labels, it is recommended to use the text editing bar instead. The text editing bar is shown below and can be accessed in the input page when adding labels. Click here to find out how to change the default font. Aetiket Label Printer has been tested with numerous printer makes and models, on both Apple Macintosh and IBM PCs. Even though the label print layouts work correctly in the majority of cases, there are still some printers for which the print layout should be optimized. As all changes made to a FileMaker Pro database are permanent, it is important to remember to make a copy of the Aetiket.fp3 file before editing the print layout, as it may be difficult to revert to the previous version.
